Download 2Shift.dmg and open it. Requires macOS 14 or later — on older versions macOS will refuse to launch the app.

Why not just use ChatGPT?

Will anyone know I'm using this?

No. 2Shift lives discreetly in the menu bar — no Dock icon, no open windows. Your text is fixed inside the app you're writing in.

How much does it cost?

During the beta it's 100% free, with up to 50 improvements per day. Later there will be a free plan (10/day) and paid plans from €3/month with higher limits.

What happens when the 100 spots run out?

Your email goes on the waitlist and you'll get the download link as soon as we open new spots — first come, first served.

Which apps does it work in?

Practically all of them: Outlook, Mail, Teams, Slack, Word, Gmail, Notion, LinkedIn, WhatsApp… If you can select text, it works.

Can I write in my language and send in English?

Yes! Write in your own language and end the text with /en (or /pt, /es, /fr, /de, /it…). When you press the shortcut, 2Shift translates into that language and applies the active mode — all in one step. Note: leave a space before the slash (e.g. "thanks for the meeting /en").

Why does it ask for the Accessibility permission?

It's the official macOS mechanism that lets global shortcuts work and text be replaced in place. Without it the app can't act.
